DENVER -- Colorado lawmakers have begun hearings on an ethics complaint against a state lawmaker accused of claiming duplicate expenses from the state and his campaign. Republican Rep. Steve King of Grand Junction has denied the charges. The House Ethics Committee on Wednesday began reviewing evidence and lawmakers said they would rule later on the complaint filed by Ethics Watch, a nonprofit group that researches public officials.
